COURSE OBJECTIVES
The ISO 14044:2006 — Life Cycle Assessment (LCA) Awareness Course is designed to help participants understand the core principles, structure, and requirements of the ISO 14044:2006 standard, thereby enhancing awareness and knowledge of the Life Cycle Assessment (LCA) tool in environmental management and sustainable development.
Specific objectives:
- Understand the concept and role of LCA: Grasp the significance of LCA in measuring and minimizing the environmental impact of products, processes, and services
- Master the basic requirements of ISO 14044:2006: Understand the structure, content, and relationships between the main steps of LCA
- Enhance awareness of practical applications: Understand how LCA supports businesses in achieving sustainable development goals, environmental certification, and ESG reporting
- Strengthen foundational knowledge: Prepare participants for next steps to join advanced courses such as “LCA Practitioner Course” or advanced environmental impact analysis programs
